I just about remember Mario Kempes, so this one gets my vote!
Wasn't alive for any of these. Born about a month after the 78 world cup.
1974 and the emergence of Cruyff doing unbelievable tricks in a classy Dutch side was phenomenal, but I'm grateful to have seen Pele in an all-conquering Brazil in 1970 so that gets my vote.
Panda being a wally. Who'd have thought?
Has to be 66 for me, but I can’t remember a lot about it. I do know that for early England matches you could have paid on the day, such was the apathy. That all changed as England progressed of course.

Spain ‘82 for me. Combination of factors. N Ireland getting through group stages was major, but also at Uni in Leeds, exams finished and time to just enjoy it. Also possibly the best Brazil team since 1970 and since. Good times...
Also that French team. The names still roll off the tongue. That semi final v West Germany.
Every World Cup seems to be the best one ever since the last one.
Apart from South Africa. That one was shit.
